Suicide Racers - post week 10/29/2011

The stages that I am currently on with Sucide Racers is the refining of Suicide Racers. I have the GUI textures done, with the particle effects done, and I have the third person camera working as well. I have also completed most of my programming scripts and just need to add a couple of more scripts like the Lap counting script and the script that changes from one level to another. I have noticed thatthe cars still go through my race track walls so that will be an adressing issue before the final build.

The only thing I have change for this weeks milestone was again, the remodeling of the car but that is only because I am trying to make sure the cars are not going through my race track walls. I also tend to be having a problem with the lap counter so I have pushed this back as well too however I almost havce this completed.

This week was again a little difficult again because I am trying to make the cars not go through one another and go through the race track walls. Also I am trying to make the lap counter work as well but I feel that this is almost completed.

What is working for Suicide Racers is that the game is now feeling more like a racing game. I have weather conditions that were added to the game and tracks that weren't working before are now working. The player can now also see and know what lap they are on as well. In addition to the third person camera and controller working I almost have completed all of my programming scripts.

The problems that I am having with Suicide is having a working prototype still. However, there will be a working prototype by the end of this term. What I know that needs to be fixed is still the car and some of the programming that needs to be finished.

Suicide Racer - post week 10/22/11

The stages that I am currently on with Sucide Racers is the refining of Suicide Racers. The game in addition of having the two particle effects, snow and rain, I finally now have a third person controller and camera that is attached to my player controlled car. Still refining tha game however. In addition I have rescaled the cars to better fit the race courses and feel proportionally correct. I have also redone and made new scripts for the game as well.

There were no milestones due this week so I have not changed any of my milestones of Milestone 3 and feel confident that I can complete the milestone.

This week was again a little difficult again trying to complete the third person controller and camera. I did accomplish in having a working third person controller and camera but it took me a few hours to complete in order for Suicide Racers

What is working for Suicide Racers is that the game is now feeling more like a racing game. I have weather conditions that were added to the game and tracks that weren't working before are now working. The player can now also see and know what lap they are on as well. This week the third person camera and controller are what are working for me now in Suicide Racers

The problems that I am having with Suicide is having a working prototype still. However, there will be a working prototype by the end of this term. What I know that needs to be fixed is still the car and some of the programming that needs to be finished.

Suicide Racers - post week - 10/15/2011

The stages that I am currently on with Sucide Racers is the refining of Suicide Racers. The game now has two particle effects. Snow for the Snow Course and rain for the Dirt Course. The game also has the GUI of each lap for every level. Still refining tha game however. In addition of what has been refined is the Snow Course track. The player does not fall through the level anymore and it a lot less hilly but still has bumps in the track to challenge the player. The cars have also been scaled down as well so they can better fit the courses.

There is one thing that has been changed to the milestone for this week and that is being of the car model and texture. reason being is that I wanted to focus more on adding to the game rather than using all my time to remodel an asset that is already in the game.

To be honest, this week I really didn't have a whole lot of problems. The particle effects gave me a little difficulty but other than that there was no any major problems.

What is working for Suicide Racers is that the game is now feeling more like a racing game. I have weather conditions that were added to the game and tracks that weren't working before are now working. The player can now also see and know what lap they are on as well.

The problems that I am having with Suicide is having a working prototype still. However, there will be a working prototype by the end of this term. What I know that needs to be fixed is still the third person controller, the car, and some of the programming that needs to be finished.

Suicide Racers - post week 10/08/2011

The stages that I am currently on with Sucide Racers is the refining on of Suicide Racers. I do have the assest done and the assets textured however, the game is not fucntional in Unity. The game complies but it is still in need of refining. I am adding more scripts such as the Lap Counter script. I am also refining on how the snow and dirt track is modeled. The tracks have definition such as bumps and hills however, the tracks are to hilly and it just doesn't feel like a race track. What else that I am working on are the GUI textures and the Particle Effects.

This weeks milestone was not changed as this week's milestone was to be an updated version of the concept document of Suicide Racers.

There really wasn't any problems to the updating to the concept document of Suicide Racers. I'm just continuing refining Sucide Racers

What is working for Suicide Racers is that I have the idea behind the game and have all the tools to make the game work so I feel that the game can be completed.

The problems that I am having with Suicide is having a working prototype still. However, there will be a working prototype by the end of this term. What I know that needs to be fixed are the third person controller, add GUI textures, and particle effects, and redo some assets.

The Stages that I am currently in for the game Suicide Racers is that there is supposed to be a working prototype of the game Suicide Racers. All the assets are done and so is the the texturing. I don't know why but this game was giving me problems. The third person controller didn't work and the game didn't go as planned. What I could improve is that to overhaul Suicide Racers by figuring out why some of the programming didn't work, add some animations, and and redo some of my assests.

I did not change the milestone as I was to have a working prototype of Suicide Racers. However, I am going to continue this project and to work on this game for it to be fully functional.

The problem I had this week was really just how the game just would not work. I couldn't figure out how the third person camera worked and I feel that I need to add animations to the cars.

What is working for Suicide Racers is that I have the idea behind the game and have all the tools to make the game work so I feel that the game can be completed.

The problems that I am having with Suicide is having a working prototype. However, there will be a working prototype by the end of this term. I WILL complete this game. What I know that needs to be fixed are the third person controller, add animations, and redo some assets.

The project as whole, is a little behind. This week Suicide Racers was to be in the working prototype and there was some set backs to reaching this milestone. No excuses because the gaming industry does not care. So I'll have to work just a little harder to accomplish my goal in having a real working prototype for Suicide Racers.
