Suicide Racers - post week 9/24/2011

The Stages that I am currently in for the game Suicide Racers are near the end of the game. All the assets are done and the texturing. The only assest that is not done or textured is again the car! The car model was going a little better this week but the file ended being corrupted so that is still currently being worked on and will be textured soon. What I could improve is the starting of the programming, which I have some scripts, but I could spend more time on to make Suicide Racers a fuctional game.

I did change my milestone this week because of the fact that the car model is not finished so all of the texturing is not finished. Other than that all of the other assets are textured and finished.

Well the texturing problem that I was having was really just time consuming and time managment. Looking back on this process it was not too difficult just time consuming.

What is working in Suicide Racers, as a whole, is the game. For the most part I am on pace to finish the game and have a working prototype by 10/01/2011 as planned. What is not working is this car model and in turn there is no texture for the car. As soon as the car is modeled than the texture will be completed and shouldn't take too long to complete.

Some of the problems for Suicide Racers again is the modeling of the car. It was going better since this last post and then the power cut off at my house and corrupted the data. I had a back up but that was an older save file so I'm just really continuing from that model now.

The project as whole is coming along pretty well. Once the car is finsihed, the texture will be on the car and will be finished. Scripting is going pretty well too. Just a little worried about programming a lap script to determine what lap the player is on and when to start the next level. Other than that Suicide Racers should have a working prototype by 10/01/2011
